This page provides Important information for comfortable use in plain language, including how Private Vault works, why a separate backup matters, and the applicable limits of responsibility.
These terms apply to your use of Super Local Video Shuffle (the "App"). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms.
Builds obtained from the Mac App Store are governed by the Apple Standard EULA. This page supplements that license with Private Vault-specific notices and usage precautions; it is not a custom EULA and does not replace the Apple Standard EULA.
The App is independently developed software. The developer works to improve its safety and quality, but cannot promise perfect operation on every Mac or in every environment, prevent every unexpected defect, or recover every item of data. Keep important data in a separate location as well.
Importing a video into Private Vault does not delete the original file. It creates an encrypted copy in the App's data area, and decryption requires a locally generated vault key.
Private Vault reduces risk but cannot eliminate every possibility. Do not use it as the only storage location for important videos or material that requires a high level of confidentiality.
For example, problems affecting macOS or your user account, access to an unlocked device, screen recording, Keychain access, malware, or an unexpected defect may allow another person to discover the Vault or access its contents.
Vault data may be lost, corrupted, permanently unrecoverable, or impossible to decrypt in situations including:
The Private Vault is not a backup feature. Keep the original file and maintain a separate, tested backup independent of Private Vault. Deleting Private Vault or an individual vault item is irreversible.
Responsibility for the App is governed by applicable law and the Apple Standard EULA. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability arising from the developer's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where the developer is liable for ordinary negligence, liability is limited, except where applicable law provides otherwise, to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred and excludes special, indirect, consequential damages and lost profits. The existence and extent of any liability are governed by the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law.
Only play or store content you have lawfully obtained and are entitled to use. You are responsible for the content you handle with the App.
The App is currently free. Pricing may change in the future (including becoming a paid app), and features may be added, changed, or discontinued. Purchases and pricing through the App Store are handled under Apple's Media Services terms and the App Store's own mechanisms.
These terms may change without prior notice. Updated terms apply from the moment they are posted on this page.
