Super Local Video Shuffle Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

This policy applies to Super Local Video Shuffle running on macOS (Mac App Store and direct-distribution builds).

1. Data Collection

The App itself does not collect personal information, usage data, or identifiers. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data. No account creation or login is required, and it contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics. Information you voluntarily send in a support email is described under “Third-Party Services.”

2. Data Processing

The App's main data processing—including reading and playing videos and encrypting or decrypting Private Vault items—takes place on your device. It does not transmit user videos or file contents to external servers for processing.

3. Local Video Folder Access

This application requests access to your local video folders solely for the purpose of playing the videos you select.

4. Private Vault

Private Vault stores imported videos as encrypted local files in the app's data area without deleting the original files. Private Vault metadata is also encrypted locally.

On macOS, the vault key is wrapped by macOS protected storage. Touch ID is requested when available before the App unwraps the key. If Touch ID is unavailable, the key remains protected by the current macOS user account's protected storage, but the App does not claim that every unlock requires a separate biometric or password prompt.

Private Vault is not a backup feature. Encryption reduces risk but cannot fully prevent every situation, and recovery may not always be possible. Keep the original file and a separate backup. See the Terms of Use for important precautions.

Deleting the Private Vault from inside the app removes the encrypted vault files and vault key material. Deleting only the app executable or app bundle may not run app code, so the app cannot guarantee cleanup in every unmanaged deletion path.

5. Local data retention and deletion

Security-scoped bookmarks used to regain folder access, selected-folder information, settings, and per-video volume-leveling cache values are stored locally in the App's data area. They remain until you change the applicable setting or delete the App's data area.

Private Vault encrypted files, encrypted metadata, and key material remain until you delete individual vault items or the entire vault from inside the App, or delete the App's data area. Vault deletion is irreversible.

To remove the App and all related local data, first delete Private Vault inside the App, then remove the App and its app container. Contact support below if you need help.

6. Network Access

Mac App Store builds receive updates through the App Store.

Non-App-Store builds may send a network request to GitHub Releases to check whether an update is available. This request does not send videos, file contents, or usage analytics to the developer, but GitHub may process ordinary connection information such as an IP address.

7. Third-Party Services

This application does not transmit or share user videos, file contents, or usage analytics with the developer, advertisers, or analytics providers. It contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.

If you email support, your email address, message, and attachments are processed by the email service you choose and Google's email infrastructure. Do not send sensitive videos, vault keys, passwords, or unnecessary personal data.

8. Your choices and requests

You can change which local folders to open at any time and delete individual Private Vault items or the entire vault from inside the App. For privacy questions or a request concerning information you sent through support, contact the email address below. Where applicable law gives you additional rights, requests will be handled under that law.
